VET (Vocational Education and Training) studies combine general VCE or VCAL with vocational training and experience in the workplace.

Successful completion of a VET program provides students with two qualifications, VCE or VCAL certificate plus an industry certificate (or completion of accredited modules) recognized by employers.
All VET programs can contribute to Foundation, Intermediate and Senior VCAL Certificates.

VET satisfies the eligibility requirement of the Industry Specific Skills and Work Related Skills strands within the VCAL certificate.

VET programs provide a practical focus and give students direct experience of business and industry which employers value when recruiting.
Our VET courses will help develop a range of work skills that are in demand in the current labour market.

Our experience shows students enjoy VET programs.

Some VET certificates include a study score component so students can receive a study score which contributes to their ATAR.

VET programs set students on a pathway to further study and VET students are highly regarded for entry into higher certificate or diploma courses.

Some VET subjects can reduce the TAFE component during an apprenticeship.
Students may also choose to do a School Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship as a part of student’s secondary schooling. In this case studies will contribute to students VCE or VCAL and the students will be paid for work by student’s employer.

The following courses are delivered every week here at Kambrya College, usually on a Wednesday.
Each course attracts a charge for the use of materials and excursions. An initial $250 upfront payment is required to secure a VET placement.
The full amount of the materials charge MUST be paid before the start of the academic year. Students will be withdrawn if materials charges are not paid.
The viability of a VET course is subject to sufficient enrolment numbers.
